Welcome!
Policy intelligence for the Commonwealth
“I would have given my right arm to have had this when I was in the State House… It’s a game changer.”
What is Legislata?
Legislata is designed to help you keep up with the information shaping policy easier and more cheaply than now. If you work in government, government affairs, advocacy, campaigns, or elected office, we want you to save time, money and headaches. And if you’re an analyst or journalist, we can help you keep track of events as well as offering another revenue stream.
Sign up for free and follow feeds of information about policy, just like you’d follow accounts on social media.
For Massachusetts, some of the relevant feeds are below. Some of the posts within them are visible to those without an account, others require a free account and a subscription to our MA bundle (this is free for all government employees).
City council / select board transcripts from 30+ municipalities
Reports and journals from the legislative website, extracted from PDFs into text
Many of these feeds are free and others are available for a small monthly fee, like a newsletter.
If you’re a journalist or policy analyst, you can create your own feed and share insights linked to the legislation or people you’re talking about, so that your audience can see your analysis next to other facts about those items. Get in touch to learn more about that process and help us build it out.
How to get started?
It’s as easy as signing up for a social media account. You can go to app.legislata.com and create an account.
You’ll be given your own workspace, automatically added to some others to get you started, and can go to the Discover tab to find more.
We’re just getting started, so please let me know at chris@legislata.com what else we can add to it that would help
